  Been wanting to try this place for their abalone and shark fin soup the last few times I have been in Vancouver.  We rushed in 30 minutes prior to closing time and they immediately made us order since the kitchen was due to close in 5 minutes which I didn't like since it didn't allow me to thoroughly look through the menu or decide on which type of abalone to get.  The abalone wasn't cheap and I would have liked a little more time to decide.
  
  We finally decided on the $158 dry abalone and $45.80 fresh abalone.  I guess I'm not an abalone aficionado since I rather enjoyed the cheaper one much more.  But to each their own since my wife and cousin liked the dry abalone much more.  
  
  We also ordered 2 bowls of the shark fin soup which had a fair amount of shark fin, but I think I still prefer the taste of what my grandma used to cook back in the day when eating shark fin was still legal in the States.
  
  So, the 2 items I specifically went to this restaurant for did not impress me much.  It turns out the other items we ordered were far more delicious.  The squab was plump, juicy and had a nice crispy skin.  The bok choy greens with chinese ham & wild bamboo piths was flavorful and satisfied our need for veggies for the night.  But my most favorite dish of the night was the Tofu with Greens and Crab Paste.  The mixture of fried tofu, real crab meat and crab paste was just a wonderful explosion of flavors in the mouth.  
  
  After the initial rushing to get us to order, the service was actually fantastic and they did not rush us to finish eating past closing.  Good food, but in the end, somewhat expensive.

  This is the Chinese seafood restaurant that our family go to once a year. it's become our family tradition. We have been there many times. Food is still very good. Staff there are very nice and polite. I like their little appetizer pickles and their XO sauce which you can't get from anywhere else. The place is being there for many years. Even though the restaurant is clean, I would like to suggest that the restaurant may need to be renovated.

  This was my first shark fin soup and it was delicious and everything else we had was excellent.  The service was very good too. Recommend you try it !

  Went to have supper there yesterday evening. When we showed up and not being Chinese and dressed in fancy clothing we were ignored even while many expensively dressed Chinese kept being showed to tables. Out of curiosity, I decided to wait for half an hour to see what happened. I then went to the hostess and asked that we be sat at a table. She grudgingly called a waiter, who seemed to be displeased to not have to deal with non-Han people. I picked up the Chinese language menu handed to us, but could not read any of it and so asked for one in English. The prices for similar items (my partner is Chinese from Henan) were actually much, much more expensive than those in the Chinese menu. The waiters ignored us and it took forever to be attended to and then the food took forever for us to be served. Clearly, we were unwelcome because we were not wealthy Han people.
  
  Compared to many of the cheap eateries in Chinatown, the food was really was of rather poor quality, with bland flavours, and very expensive, to boot. There was a dearth of succulence and savouriness, with some dishes having had too much sugar added to them. The sate was rather dry and the deep-fried prawns greasy with the tempura having a flavour as if the deep-dry oil had not been changed for a couple of weeks, at least.
  
  Needless to say, we will not be back there every again.

  Ur food sucks, no taste, not salty enough. Also, you should add lemon with your bird. Anyway your food sucks. It's also expensive, and it isn't worth it. The service is okay though, but the food . No offense, sorry but this is just the truth. I'm a very honest person when it comes to food. So please if you want more customers, make sure to put more taste in your food. The only salty thing in your restaurant is everyone's face.(Sorry, but no offense, again this is the truth, make your food more savory and I bet you can get more popular, thanks but no thanks for your food, I'll be going now.)(The one star is for the service by the way)( Again, no offense!!!)
